first firepitDuke Easley created the first Virginia FirePit at Reynolds & Easley Manufacturing Company in Axton, Virginia. Reynolds & Easley Manufacturing is a family business started in 1966 by Duke’s grandfather, John F. Reynolds, and his father, DuVal H. Easley. They manufacture and install conveyors and industrial equipment for various industries throughout the United States.

In the spring of 2006 some friends passed around an e-mail discussing the need for a fire pit at their shooting club campsite, all they needed was someone with a metal fabrication shop. Duke decided to make something unique and bold. And so, the fire pit shown to the right was created for the 67th New York Volunteer Infantry. Requests for other fire pits led to the creation of Virginia FirePit, LLC.

Thanks to everyone who stops to see the VT fire pit we use for tailgating.
We are working on licensing for colleges, greek organizations, and pro sports.
